Attachable to even old and worn out vehicles
The biggest cause of air pollution in urban
environment is diesel vehicles
Looking at the amount of particulate matter reduction compared to the eco-friendly
car supply budget of the Ministry of Environment, it costs 5 billion won per
ton, renewable energy business is about 500 million won per ton, and CNG route
bus replacement business is about 70 million won per ton, but, the efficiency of
government budget is quite lower than eco-friendly vehicle project although it
is 70 times bigger budget is required.
The
government¡¯s fiscal input for responding to Particulate Matter has
significantly and widely increased 67% compared to original budget from 0.9
trillion in 2016 to 1.4 trillion won of additional budget in 2019.
The central government and local
governments are making various efforts to reduce smog from automobile, but,
until now, it is very limited to support to attach DPF device(exhaust gas
reduction device) for Diesel vehicles.
In this reality, in a
field experiment on EIDI product (Developed by SungGwang Smog Control Co., Ltd.
(CEO Hong Geum-pyo)) adapting a hydrodynamic fluid function and centrifugal
force of aerodynamics, local governments such as Eunpyeong-gu Office have
confirmed fuel saving performance as well as smog reduction. The group including the Ministry
of Environment's subsidiary, Korea Environmental Industry & Technology
Institute, are focusing their attention on EIDI by showing their willingness to
actively utilize it as a life-type attachment device to reduce air pollution
A smog reduction device EIDI has
been registered to the national patent list(Patent No. 10-2127140) as a device,
without electric power supply as well as chemical aid for the first time in the
world, that can remove particulate matter(smog) well and began to receive spot
light as an innovative appropriate source technology.
After attaching EIDI to over 10
types of diesel vehicles, the flow analysis report prepared by Ajou University
Automotive Team who has analyzed the smog reduction level and effect before and
after attachment, is telling ¡°When EIDI is attached to the exhaust pipe, the
effect of reducing smog such as NOX(Nitrogen Oxides) and Carbon dioxides(CO2) is
very high. Therefore, it is obviously known that it also has good effect on oil
consumption.¡±
